A descent through the Tarvisio forest

Bob Su Rotaia winds through the woods of Piana dell’Angelo between Tarvisio and Camporosso. Its brightly coloured sleds appear and disappear among the trees, in a landscape where the open valley meets the lower slopes of the Julian Alps.

The experience moves between forest-wrapped bends, brighter clearings and shifts of pace that each rider can shape personally. The closeness of the trees gives the descent a character unlike broad, exposed alpine runs: here, the sensation comes as much from movement as from the feeling of slipping through the woodland.

A year-round face of the mountain

Opened in 2015, Bob Su Rotaia has become one of the signatures of Fun Area dell’Angelo. Operating in both summer and winter changes the scenery without changing its identity: green and shaded in the warmer months, it becomes quieter and more graphic under snow, while remaining inseparable from the forest of Tarvisio.
