Département du Pas-de-Calais

Biography

The Pas-de-Calais Department is the public authority that owns Parc d’Olhain and initiated its creation in the early 1970s. The site is part of a departmental policy supporting outdoor leisure, sport, nature and local tourism.

Through Olhain, the Department helped create a popular large-scale place for fresh air and activities, close to the towns of Artois and the former mining basin, while highlighting a remarkable forest environment.
