Biography

Paul Snyder, a name in the amusement ride industry

Paul Snyder is associated with the early Darien Lake campground and the development of the leisure property that later became Darien Lake Fun Country. Historical sources associate Snyder with the land acquisition and early growth of the site before Funtime Parks became involved.

In a park, the manufacturer name helps explain the style of the experience: family pacing, compact layout, major thrill machine, water attraction, mechanical flat ride, transport system or historic ride. The final sensation always depends on the chosen model, its integration and the period in which it was installed.

This presentation is deliberately generic so it can apply to the manufacturer’s work across different parks rather than focusing on one location.
