Compagnie des Alpes
A French group rooted in mountain resorts
Compagnie des Alpes was created in 1989 to bring together and develop expertise connected with the operation of major mountain destinations. The group grew around highly practical activities: welcoming visitors, running lift systems, developing sites, maintaining equipment and organising businesses strongly shaped by the seasons. This operational culture remains central to its identity.
Leisure parks with very different personalities
From 2002, Compagnie des Alpes expanded into leisure parks. Its portfolio includes Parc Astérix, Futuroscope, the Walibi parks, Bellewaerde, Familypark, Grévin and several other European destinations. The group does not seek to erase their differences: each site retains its own world, history and local roots while sharing expertise in operations, attraction development and guest hospitality.
An organisation working across the whole experience
The group’s activities now cover mountain resorts, leisure parks, accommodation and holiday distribution. In its parks, the role extends beyond day-to-day management: investment, ride renewal, shows, food service, landscaping and long-term maintenance are approached as parts of the same operation. Compagnie des Alpes therefore gives a common structure to destinations that remain distinctly different from one another.
