GIE Mira-Fêt
The final management period and the successive operators
GIE Mira-Fêt refers to the fairground operators’ group associated with the final operating period of Mirapolis. The park went through several phases: Paris-Parc built and managed the complex at opening, Club Med was brought in after the first season, and travelling showmen gradually became involved before the legal takeover process of the early 1990s.
Led around Marcel Campion, the fairground group obtained control of Mirapolis in 1990 through a structure known as Campion-Concorde. Cergy-Parc later became the owner, while the showmen kept managing the park under a lease-management agreement. This sequence explains why Mirapolis combines architectural ambition, private investment, tourism management and fairground culture in a single story.
