Adventure Park USA
Adventure Park USA in Monrovia, Maryland Adventure Park USA is a western-flavoured family entertainment center in Monrovia, just east...
Six Flags America was an amusement park in Maryland, near Upper Marlboro and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Its identity combined thrill rides, family areas, Looney Tunes characters and DC Comics settings, alongside the adjacent Hurricane Harbor Maryland water park. Even after permanent closure, the site remains important to document because it was one of the region’s main leisure landmarks for families and coaster fans.
The park was organized around several themed areas with very different moods: Main Street 1776 for arrival and shops, Mardi Gras for colorful festive rides, Gotham City for the major DC attractions, SteamTown for an industrial retrofuturistic setting, Chesapeake for open-air and water rides, Olde Boston for a historic American atmosphere, and Looney Tunes Movie Town for younger children.
The park closed permanently after the 2025 season. That changes the way it should be read: it is no longer a destination to plan for a future day out, but a former park to preserve through its rides, restaurants, shops, themed areas and visitor landmarks. Roller coasters such as Superman: Ride of Steel, Wild One, Roar, Joker’s Jinx and Batwing remain central to its story, together with family rides, neighborhood food locations and Hurricane Harbor.
