A strong presence in the older park
Gondelbahn 1001 Nacht took visitors into a suspended oriental world of caves, palaces and fantasy scenes.
What the ride still tells us
It matters because it belonged to the park’s first major fixed scenic rides, with a format very different from more mechanical attractions.
Its closure goes with the transformation of the old Orient area into the expanded Berlin, Kaiserplatz and Maus au Chocolat.
