Race for Atlantis, a vanished piece of Phantasialand history

A former attraction that tells as much about its era as about the park’s transformation.

Race for Atlantis is one of the attractions that shaped Phantasialand before the park’s recent large-scale rebuilds. Its story shows how the park moved from separate scenic rides toward denser, more immersive worlds.

A strong presence in the older park

Race for Atlantis gave a second life to the large Fantasy simulator. Its golden dome and marine entrance formed a visual landmark unlike most other rides in the park.

What the ride still tells us

The attraction reflects the period when Phantasialand also used large dynamic cinema formats to offer spectacular journeys.

Its removal is directly connected with the birth of Rookburgh and F.L.Y., making it an important milestone in the park’s recent transformation.
