Silbermine was one of Phantasialand’s large former scenic rides, tied to the western and mining atmosphere of the old Silver City area. Its train journey took visitors through a vast underground setting, with villages, animated scenes and a Mexican mine mood.
It remains important in the park’s memory because it represented a very generous kind of dark ride: long, theatrical and filled with animatronics. Its removal also marks the major transformation of the area toward Klugheim.
