A silent flight through the realms of dreams

Droomvlucht carries its travellers above enchanted forests, glowing castles and worlds inhabited by fairies, elves and trolls. The gondolas seem to glide without effort, with no visible path beneath their passengers. Each scene opens like a nocturnal illustration whose depth gradually comes into view.

The journey moves from distant panoramas to intimate encounters. Lights, woodland scents, Ruud Bos's music and the delicate movements of the figures create an enveloping atmosphere. The descent towards the troll forest brings a livelier rhythm while preserving the otherworldly gentleness that binds the whole voyage together.

A fairyland without an imposed storyline

Droomvlucht does not explain a plot through dialogue. Landscapes, creatures and music are allowed to awaken images of their own, leaving the dream open to interpretation. This trust in atmosphere has made it one of Efteling's defining creations and an imaginary journey whose influence reaches far beyond the park.
