Description

Description

An unruly river among rocks and waterfalls

Piraña crosses a monumental landscape of stone, vegetation and architecture inspired by pre-Columbian cultures. The current decides part of the journey and reserves each boat its own encounters with the waves. Narrowing walls, crashing water and waterfalls give the river an almost untamed presence.

A temple appears beyond a rapid, then vanishes behind a ridge or burst of water. No one knows exactly who will receive the next splash, and that uncertainty feeds laughter as much as apprehension. The landscape is never merely a background: it surrounds the journey and seems to guide its detours itself.

An aquatic landscape on the scale of Anderrijk

Piraña profoundly shaped its realm through its rocks, planting and architecture. From the paths, boats emerge between the falls while the river’s roar remains audible far beyond its banks. The attraction therefore forms a complete territory whose water transforms the atmosphere of the entire area.
