How Denain Évasion took shape in Parc Zola

A new leisure project for Parc Zola

The park’s public story begins in early 2025, when plans for a family amusement area in Parc Émile-Zola appear among Denain’s major announced developments. The project is already described as a human-scale venue with roller coasters, spinning rides, a small train and a food outlet. The aim is not merely to add a few summer activities, but to establish a lasting leisure offer inside an urban park already used by local families.

A company created to develop the future park

On 8 October 2025, DENAIN EVASION is incorporated with Thierry Fééry as president, an operator already associated with other leisure projects in northern France. A few weeks later, an establishment dedicated to amusement park activities is registered in Parc Zola. This gives the project its operating structure and confirms a permanent base in Denain rather than a purely event-based presence.

From earthworks to ride assembly

By spring 2026, the future park is taking shape across roughly one hectare. Work moves through earthworks, utilities, kerbs and pathways before the rides are progressively assembled. Around fifteen rides are announced, mixing experiences for younger children, families and visitors looking for more movement. This construction phase turns part of Parc Zola into a genuine small amusement park.

The Denain Évasion name and the 18 July opening

In June 2026, the venue is officially presented as Denain Évasion and the opening is set for Saturday 18 July. The park welcomes its first visitors on the same day as the launch of Denain Plage. Entry to the grounds is free, while rides are accessed with tickets or a pass. This first season establishes Denain Évasion as a new local destination, distinct from the temporary activities organised around Parc Émile-Zola.
