Schmetterlingstanz brings together colourful gondolas behind a mischievous butterfly leading the formation. The movement begins gently, then the circle gathers speed as the gondolas rise, descend and join an increasingly lively dance.

A ride that has become rare

Its unusual silhouette is easy to recognise from the surrounding paths. The butterflies first appear to float, then begin sweeping above the ground in a motion that feels more playful than a conventional roundabout. The changing height adds a light sensation of taking off.

Schmetterlingstanz belongs to a ride family now rarely encountered in Europe, giving it a distinctive place within Bayern-Park. Its appeal comes from the colour, the gradual acceleration and the contrast between its childlike appearance and a surprisingly animated journey.
