Description
Two lanes for a sliding duel
Doppelwellenrutsche places two long wave-shaped lanes beside one another. Riders collect a felt mat, climb to the top and settle facing the slope. A simultaneous start immediately turns the descent into a friendly contest, with the waves alternately bringing the two sliders closer and pulling them apart.
A Bavarian view before the start
The upper platform is surrounded by paintings of Bavarian landscapes and landmarks. It also provides an open view towards Voltrum, whose tall silhouette dominates the horizon. That brief visual pause contrasts sharply with the acceleration that begins when the mats are released.
The paired lanes encourage repeat runs with another opponent, a sharper start or simply another chance to enjoy the wave motion. Doppelwellenrutsche remains delightfully direct: climb, choose a lane, create an improvised countdown and race downhill with laughter usually mattering more than the result.
