Description

A landmark visible across the park

Voltrum rises above the trees and can be spotted from many parts of Bayern-Park. It works as both a navigation point and a constant reminder of the experience waiting at the top. The ascent is deliberately slow: the gondola rotates gently, revealing the rides below, the surrounding countryside and, on clear days, the distant Alpine horizon.

From electrical substation to free fall

The tension comes from the contrast between that panoramic climb and the sudden release. A short pause high above the park makes the drop feel even sharper, before the braking system brings the gondola smoothly back down. From the ground, the disappearing seats and the moment of release are almost as compelling to watch as they are to ride.

The theme extends the attraction’s electrical identity. Its blue building resembles an isolated industrial power facility, with metalwork, barred windows and heavy doors. A window in the queue reveals the huge lifting mechanism, while crackling sound and flashes accompany the falling gondola. Voltrum combines a broad view, a steadily growing sense of anticipation and one decisive burst of weightlessness.
