Thalonien

The underground realm of the Thalonians

Thalonien brings a world of dwarfs, mines and hidden passages into Bayern-Park. This compact area does not try to recreate an entire village. Instead, it feels like an entrance to an underground realm, shaped by dark stone, mining imagery and characters that gradually reveal themselves.

Thaolon at the centre of the story

Thaolon is the main landmark of Thalonien. Its large black gate leads into a dimly lit indoor route where mirrors, pictures and narrow passages build anticipation before visitors meet the Thalonians. As the gondola rises, drops and turns, scenes show the dwarfs working in their mines, while music gives the experience a mysterious tone without making it genuinely frightening.

A livelier contrast outside

Nearby, Steinwirbel brings a very different kind of energy. Its sweeping motion and spinning seats give the area an immediately visible, brighter and more animated presence than the interior of Thaolon. Together, the two rides form a clear little world: one tells the story of the dwarfs, while the other turns the rocky setting into a lively family ride.

Thalonien is easy to explore in a short time, yet its identity is distinct. It offers a brief fantasy detour inside a park otherwise strongly shaped by nature and Bavarian references, with enough detail to reward a closer look before moving on.
