A powered train racing around a compact circuit

Alpenblitz did not depend on one major first drop: its train was driven throughout the layout. That propulsion maintained a continuous rhythm through the turns and gave the small structure the energy of a convoy circling an alpine-styled setting.

Riders mainly experienced quick direction changes, repeated passes and close proximity to the track. The movement was easy to understand from outside, where the train regularly returned into view.

Alpenblitz remained at Bobbejaanland for only a limited period before disappearing. It nevertheless represents the compact powered coasters that once animated European parks and fairs with a train kept permanently in motion.
