HAFEMA’s rapid river brings nine-seat rafts, turbulent water and a large final whirlpool. Originally, a Ferris-wheel-like lift also raised the boats.

El Rio’s Ferris-wheel lift is removed
The original mechanism, long out of service, is permanently removed together with its associated drop. Rafts continue through the bypass channel.
