Bobbejaanland’s historic Wild West district
Desperado City is one of the park’s most recognisable neighbourhoods. Saloon fronts, wooden houses, terraces and western signs line paths that connect directly with Bobbejaanland’s earliest identity. The area feels less like a recently added theme and more like a surviving part of the world created around Bobbejaan Schoepen.
Speedy Bob brings sharp turns and a lively pace, while Dreamcatcher sweeps above the ground in suspended cars. El Rio fills the district with moving water and spinning rafts. Overhead, the Monorail offers a slower view across rooftops and rides.
A neighbourhood made for slowing down as well
Horse Pedalo, Pony Ride, Cowboy Playground and the giant slide give families simple, easy-to-understand experiences. Food and drink are part of the scenery rather than an afterthought: Saloon, Santa Fe, Country Cookout and smaller counters continue the western mood. Desperado City therefore works equally well as a place to wander, rest and ride.
