El Condor
Description
The chairs of El Condor gently leave the ground, move away from the centre and settle into a broad circle above Le Désert du Nouveau-Mexique. The gradual climb allows the landscape to open below before the rotation turns the seats into a true flying crown.
The motion remains smooth: the chains lean with the speed, the air becomes more noticeable and the colourful façades repeatedly pass beneath the riders’ feet. Double seats within the circle also allow the flight to be shared side by side in a more open position than an enclosed gondola.
The condor theme and scenery inspired by an ancient city give the ride the appearance of an aerial ballet. El Condor mainly offers a different view of the area: a few suspended moments, a clear horizon and the feeling of circling above the Mexican celebration rather than travelling through its centre.
