Entdeckerbad Damp is a family water park whose broad glazed façade looks directly towards the coast. Its main pool loosely follows the shape of the Baltic Sea, bringing rocks, light, water and the horizon together as one landscape rather than a conventional swimming hall.
The identity of the venue follows the paths of explorers and Vikings. The theme reaches beyond surface decoration: a submarine anchors the young children’s area, discovery cubes interpret the marine environment, and a village of timber and thatched huts carries the story into Värmland.
Eventrutsche offers a long raft journey crossed by lighting effects, while Speedrutsche favours a direct timed descent. A broad slide built into the rocks completes the set with an open and family-oriented experience.
Around these routes, the indoor pool, the warm shallow children’s pool and rest spaces make it possible to alternate play, swimming and quieter moments. The outdoor pool extends the view towards the sea whenever its operating conditions allow.
Opened in 2014 on the site of the former Aqua Tropicana, Entdeckerbad was designed as a year-round facility. Experiment spaces, a cinema, quizzes and Nordic storytelling connect the water with local history and nature. Together they give the park a compact, clear identity that belongs unmistakably to Damp.
