Bao Son Paradise Park: from cultural project to wide-ranging leisure estate

West of Hanoi, Bao Son Paradise Park has become a place that resists a single category. The estate contains rides, an aquarium, a safari, a village devoted to traditional crafts, settings inspired by international destinations, shows, restaurants and several forms of accommodation. This variety is not a late addition to a simple identity; it extends the idea that accompanied the park from its beginning.

2008: a park conceived as a cultural gateway

The park opens in 2008 with an announced initial investment of 100 million US dollars. It forms part of the new An Khánh urban development and is given a broader purpose than a collection of rides. Bao Son Group presents the site as a tourism gateway for Hanoi, bringing Vietnamese culture, nature, art, technology, entertainment, dining and major events together. The traditional craft village, architecture combining older references with contemporary forms, and cultural spaces reflect that direction throughout the estate.

An estate made up of several worlds

Over time, that promise takes the form of a mosaic-like park. The Traditional Craft Village maintains the connection with Vietnamese skills. The Aquarium and Safari give animals and landscape a prominent role. The amusement complex adds roller coasters, a drop tower, Ferris wheel, family rides and cinemas. The World Wonders Film Studio introduces settings inspired by India, Singapore, France, New Zealand and Mexico. Instead of following one continuous story, Bao Son Paradise Park grows by placing contrasting atmospheres side by side.

2022-2024: technology, the farm and new uses

A new phase becomes clearly visible in September 2022 with BaoSon VR Game Park. Across more than 1,000 square metres, almost twenty installations and numerous digital titles give immersive gaming a full place in the park. On 29 April 2023, Happy Farm changes the pace through friendly animals, gardens, workshops and outdoor play. Online ticketing launches on 28 July, followed by the first overnight stays at Baoson Farmstay on 1 September. During Tết Giáp Thìn 2024, the Aquarium’s third floor becomes Thế giới động vật, a sequence of galleries devoted to different environments. In November, six pickleball courts broaden the estate into sport.

2026: new rides and a glasses-free cinema

The arrival of 2026 opens a new cycle in the amusement complex. Đường đua gia tốc modernises bumper cars within a brightly lit racing setting, while Cốc xoay diệu kỳ adds a gentler family ride. Cosmos Theater takes the park’s technological side further through glasses-free 3D projection, a multi-sided LED cube, glass floor, real-time rendering and spatial sound. These additions continue the direction established by VR Game Park, but through a more collective and theatrical experience.

An identity built through accumulation

The history of Bao Son Paradise Park is therefore not simply the story of a small park becoming larger. It is the continuing addition of new purposes: presenting traditions, observing animals, seeking thrills, playing indoors, staying overnight, hosting events and discovering new visual systems. The estate retains a distinctive place in Hanoi’s leisure landscape. Its coherence comes not from a single theme, but from the way each period adds another reason to enter.
