Múa rối nước brings its characters to the surface of a pool in front of scenery inspired by village architecture. Controlled by artists hidden behind the pavilion, the puppets glide, turn, splash and cross paths with surprising freedom. Water conceals the mechanism while becoming an essential part of the staging.

The scenes draw on folk tales, rural life and familiar figures from Vietnamese tradition. Music, voices, movement and water effects give these older stories a lively and immediately understandable form. The show is one of the park’s clearest cultural experiences, far removed from the language of rides and screens.
