Cá Đĩa lives up to its name through an almost round, strongly flattened body. Colours vary between individuals, combining blues, reds, browns and lighter patterns. When several fish move together, the tank begins to resemble a picture in motion.
Their swimming is generally calm, with small fin adjustments rather than sudden acceleration. This slow rhythm makes it easy to observe body patterns and changing colour under the lighting. Among the freshwater section’s larger fish, the discus bring a more delicate and highly visual presence.
