Breathtaker Alpine Coaster

Breathtaker Alpine Coaster is the main fixed ride in Lost Forest at Snowmass. Reached by the Elk Camp Gondola, it sends individual sleds through the forest above Elk Camp, with a guided elevated track, hairpin turns and rider-controlled braking.

The official visitor information describes a 7-to-9-minute ride at speeds up to 28 mph / 45 km/h, with guests responsible for managing their own speed and keeping safe distances between sleds. The coaster works because it uses the mountain itself: trees, slope, altitude and views all contribute to the sensation.

This is the essential amusement-style attraction at Aspen Snowmass. It is family-oriented, but still requires attention to height, waiver, clothing and health rules before riding.
