Description
A flight that refuses to follow its schedule
Star Tours: The Adventures Continue opened in Paris on 26 March 2017 for the park’s twenty-fifth anniversary, following a complete transformation of the 1992 attraction. The Starspeeder 1000 is meant to operate a tourist flight, but C-3PO ends up at the controls and a Rebel spy is hidden among the passengers. R2-D2 must then rescue an itinerary repeatedly diverted by galactic conflict.
More than sixty mission combinations were already possible at the Paris launch. Tatooine, Hoth, Naboo, Crait or Exegol may follow encounters with Darth Vader, the Resistance or other figures from the saga. New sequences have joined the programme alongside films, so two departures from the same starport need not tell the same adventure.
The old starport remembered
The queue preserves Rex, former pilot of the Starspeeder 3000, and ROX-N, once the hostess at Star Traders. Announcements hide reversed names and references to George Lucas, while the baggage scanner reveals objects from Disney and Pixar stories. That collection binds the 2017 version to Discoveryland’s particular past without erasing its first Star Tours.
