Description
An out-and-back ride with no quiet second half
Boomerang rises above part of Mexico with a compact layout standing almost vertically over the colourful façades. The train is first pulled backwards toward the top, allowing the area to fall away below the riders before it is released into the course.
The forward run moves directly through drops and inversions. Rather than returning to the station after that first passage, the train climbs the opposite end of the track. The second half then repeats the same figures in reverse, transforming every visual reference and physical sensation.
A short roller coaster with an intense character
Everything is concentrated: the pause near the top, the acceleration, the inversions and the backwards return. Boomerang is not a scenic journey. Its identity comes from this tense, symmetrical sequence, clearly visible from the paths and still highly distinctive in the landscape of Bellewaerde.
