    Dancing Queen begins its aerial dance

    Frank Hrubetz’s Paratrooper joins Mexico as one of the four additions of 1989. Its open gondolas rise as the large tilted wheel accelerates to the music.

    Dancing Queen leaves Bellewaerde for good

    After fifteen seasons, the ride closes on the Mexican square. Its departure frees a central site for a taller and completely new attraction.

    Dancing Queen is sold to a Dutch park

    The ride is not destroyed: it is sold to De Valkenier in the Netherlands. Its story therefore continues outside Bellewaerde after the 2004 closure.

    El Volador replaces Dancing Queen

    The empty site receives the first Topple Tower opened to the public. Replacing the light aerial ride with a tall tilting tower profoundly changes Mexico’s skyline.
