Description
An iconic striped resident of the Savanne
The Grévy’s zebra is one of the most recognisable animals in Bellewaerde’s Savanne. Its black-and-white stripes immediately catch the eye, but the real pleasure comes from observing the details: the large ears, the white belly, the dark stripe along the back and the way the animals stay alert in their group.
This is an excellent stop for families because the zebra is familiar enough to attract children right away, while still offering plenty to learn. Each pattern is unique, which makes the encounter easy to turn into a small observation challenge. In the open setting of the Savanne, the zebras help create the feeling of a broad animal landscape rather than a simple enclosure.
