Description

A compact Wildcat from the park’s early coaster years

Achtbaan was a tightly arranged steel roller coaster travelled in small individual cars. After the chain lift, riders entered a sequence of firm turns and quick changes of level typical of Schwarzkopf’s Wildcat design.

The structure made efficient use of limited space and kept the track constantly in view. Its character came less from height than from close curves, direct pacing and the feeling that the car could change direction at any moment.

A surviving memory of early Bobbejaanland

The ride left the park long ago, yet it belongs to a period when Bobbejaanland was rapidly expanding its mechanical attractions. Its plain name — simply “roller coaster” in Dutch — reflects an era when the ride itself mattered more than elaborate scenery.
