Land of Legends

Four elements watched over by a giant guardian

Land of Legends is easy to recognise from its monumental Guardian, fantasy creatures and the roller-coaster structures crossing the skyline. Air, earth, fire and water form the story running through the area, giving it a darker and more dramatic atmosphere than most other parts of Bobbejaanland.

Fury naturally dominates the scene, its red track and repeated bursts of movement wrapping around the themed setting. Typhoon adds a sharper vertical profile, while Sledge Hammer turns the central space into a vast swinging spectacle. Their motion keeps the area lively even for visitors watching from the paths.

High-energy surroundings with room for families

The zone is not limited to major thrills. Bootvaart offers a much gentler journey on the water, and Naiads Waters becomes an inviting place for children to play on warm days. Terraces, food counters and the Fury Shop make it easy to pause while staying inside the world of the Guardian and the four elements.

Adventure Valley

A valley shaped like an expedition ground

Adventure Valley brings together jungle imagery, rockwork, caves and oversized creatures in a setting built around exploration. Rather than following one continuous story, the area moves from a spinning serpent to a giant gorilla and then to a huge dark façade concealing one of Bobbejaanland’s most unusual experiences.

Revolution provides the valley’s most mysterious landmark. Its vast enclosed building contrasts with the open-air twists of Naga Bay, whose cars rotate as they travel. King Kong adds a theatrical and humorous moment, while Banana Battle turns water into a more playful family challenge.

Lively surroundings that remain easy to explore

The Ferris wheel brings a calmer change of pace and opens a different view across the park. Wooden façades, winding paths and frequent places to pause keep Adventure Valley busy without making it feel crowded. Restaurants, sweet snacks and Jasper’s Gift Shop fit naturally into its travelling-and-discovery atmosphere.

Desperado City

Bobbejaanland’s historic Wild West district

Desperado City is one of the park’s most recognisable neighbourhoods. Saloon fronts, wooden houses, terraces and western signs line paths that connect directly with Bobbejaanland’s earliest identity. The area feels less like a recently added theme and more like a surviving part of the world created around Bobbejaan Schoepen.

Speedy Bob brings sharp turns and a lively pace, while Dreamcatcher sweeps above the ground in suspended cars. El Rio fills the district with moving water and spinning rafts. Overhead, the Monorail offers a slower view across rooftops and rides.

A neighbourhood made for slowing down as well

Horse Pedalo, Pony Ride, Cowboy Playground and the giant slide give families simple, easy-to-understand experiences. Food and drink are part of the scenery rather than an afterthought: Saloon, Santa Fe, Country Cookout and smaller counters continue the western mood. Desperado City therefore works equally well as a place to wander, rest and ride.

Kinderland

A large indoor retreat for younger visitors

Kinderland feels like a small amusement park hidden inside the larger one. Beneath its vast roof, children can move freely from ride to ride through a colourful setting filled with carousels, miniature vehicles and the enormous clown above the slide. The area keeps a deliberately classic charm, combining lights, motion and cheerful decoration with the feel of a family funfair.

Balloon Race rises gently above the floor, Orbiter turns bumper cars into a lively chase, and the different carousels are easy for accompanying families to watch from the surrounding paths. Mini Rad, Mini Trein and the play spaces add further ways to explore, without expecting everyone to follow the same pace.

From free play to a first taste of coaster excitement

The ball pit, indoor playground and Ukiland give children room for more spontaneous play. Close to Kinderland, Oki Doki changes the mood with a bright, energetic layout that introduces younger riders to the roller-coaster side of Bobbejaanland. Together, these spaces create a lively sheltered area where families can alternate rides and independent play with ease.

Mystery Bay

An explorers’ bay shaped by water

Mystery Bay combines an adventure harbour, timber buildings and stories of distant lands. Water is present in almost every view, from the lake and channels to the rides lining the paths. The mood is mysterious rather than frightening, balancing travel, discovery and family entertainment.

Terra Magma provides the area’s strongest story landmark. Its volcanic façade signals an expedition that soon leaves daylight behind. Wild Water Slide remains much more open to the surrounding landscape, while Bob Express moves continuously around the bay with an approachable family pace.

Very different adventures gathered close together

The El Paso Special adds a playful and interactive indoor detour that contrasts with the water rides. Beach Club terraces and nearby food counters strengthen the feeling of a stopping place by the shore. Mystery Bay therefore brings several substantial experiences together while remaining an enjoyable and lively route through the park.

Wondergarden

An outdoor play garden near the park entrance

Wondergarden welcomes families with a bright, green and deliberately relaxed atmosphere. Its large outdoor playground forms the centre of the area: bridges, nets and climbing elements let children choose their own route, while adults can keep a clear view from the surrounding paths and nearby terraces.

Flying Orca adds a gentle sense of flight, Convoy Trucks puts younger drivers on the road, and Rode Baron plays with the imagery of early aviation. Kettingmolen brings the instantly recognisable charm of a chair swing, while Locomotion carries a small train through scenery designed around a child’s point of view.

A gentle link between arrival, play and rides

Positioned near the front of the park and beside The Lake House, the area also allows families to follow different rhythms without moving far apart. Children can continue climbing or riding while accompanying adults pause close by. Wondergarden therefore keeps a simple and cheerful personality, feeling more like a lively garden than a dramatic themed district.

Bobbejaan Schoepenplein

A welcoming square that sets the tone

Bobbejaan Schoepenplein is the first real open space beyond the entrance. The square naturally directs visitors towards Wondergarden, Land of Legends and Mystery Bay, while offering time to get oriented before choosing a route. Its name immediately recalls the park’s founder and keeps Bobbejaanland’s history present from the first steps inside.

Bob’s Coffee Corner brings the bustle of an arrival café, while General Store and Candy Shop form the main shopping fronts. The Lake House and its Express counter extend the square with terraces and places to eat, giving it the atmosphere of a lively little town square rather than a simple circulation area.

A starting point that remains useful at the end

The information point, lockers, group changing facilities and wagon rental bring several practical services together. This makes the square relevant at both ends of the visit: families can plan their route, meet again, take a break or choose a final souvenir. Bobbejaan Schoepenplein acts as a living threshold between the outside world and the different areas of the park.
